For a while
on the same path
we have been
The same sounds
we've heard
the same sights seen
Now we come to
the parting of ways
Been together
so many days
Bygone times
and memories
Deeply treasured
in the heart
Let these
guide us always
Though we
must now part
Perhaps someday
if meet we do
We’ll find that
we still hold true
To our friendship
Never letting
it ever slip
Through dangers
and troubled times
Faraway places
and different climes
And so here’s to us
To friendship, my friend
Even though part we must
